People ask what these are made out of, or if it's entirely Photoshopped. I begin with my source images-- highest possible scans of American money. I used a $1, $2 (rare now), $20, and $100 (an old version from the '80s-'90s). Incidentally, PS will -not- allow you to scan money. In fact, my HP scanner created micro-skips in the scan, presumably to foil counterfeiters. I became extremely paranoid when PS gave error messages... "Click here to find out more". Oh hell no.

I extracted a keyline of black and white art and printed sections on 11"x17" rice paper, shellaced and glued into place. The polycarbonite panels were found in a dumpster when a local shoe store when out of business. I found 6 of them, and a 7th in a different size.

I textured the surface with acrylic resin sand and crackle medium (Martha Stewart brand; it used to be DecoArt but I think it's no longer available). I then painted it with acrylic paint, glaze, and oil based paint pens.
